Employed!

Every year, Jennie and I try to find out when our favorite Halloween store is opening. We normally find out a week or two too late, when they are fully staffed. This year? We were prepared. We kept checking online, but no luck... Kept checking Grand Openings, nope, still nothing... Coming soon? Nothing!

However, on Sunday, Jennie's parents saw a big sign for the store on one of the nearby available buildings. Eee! We immediately drove up there, but no one came to the door.

Finally, on Monday, I called (though I figured no one would be there) and to my surprise, someone was. And they said come on in and grab an application. So in we went and applications we grabbed.

We REALLY wanted this position. So, for a (seasonal) job working in a nearby Halloween store, we filled in the applications, wrote cover letters and showed off our awesome Halloween makeup from last year.

We brought the applications right back and we got a call three or so hours later saying we were hired!

Tuesday was our first day and everyone kept telling us how impressed they were with our resumes. ^_^ Plus, we get to be surrounded by everything from fake blood to remote control rats!

Other than that, that is about all. Just relaxing with Jennie and surfing one of my favorite message boards.

Oh, and I am really happy about this: http://www.benjerry.com/hubbyhubby/

I was introduced to Ben & Jerry's ice cream in 2007 and love how... Well, amazing the flavor is. And how creative they are. And this... Well, this is honestly just lovely. I am always happy when I see a company doing something for the LGBT community. Especially major companies, such as Ben & Jerry's. I just wish I could get some Hubby Hubby ice cream!
